When Scout in TMS was established the first troop was named Troop 2, but we are not sure when that was. The history of scout either it not very well documented or the document was destroyed the last 50 years. The oldest scout we knew was the late Fitawirari Mekonnen Dori. May be Mr. Roederik is the only one alive who can tell us all about the history of the TMS Scouting.
Before the year of 1963 or 1955 (Eth Cal) elementary students were not allowed to join scouting. It was the secondary students privilege. But, in 1963 students from seven grades are allowed to join scouting. That is when troop 56 was established. The patrol leaders and troop leaders came from troop 2. There should be more story how troop 56 established. If you know please share with the community.
Rover scouts might have been established when the first scouts were in twelvth grade. We are not sure that was the case. If anyone knows this history we will appreciate your input.
